Manipulating the space between shapes is how we create form. Scale, repetition, balance—these are concepts of two-dimensional design based on our perception of relationships between objects and the spaces they occupy. In art and design, we apply these concepts thoughtfully to create emotion, wit, and playfulness in our work.
Relatives is a project I started to study how simple shapes interact with each other and how to create interesting compositions from those relationships.
